Drunk Driver Crashes Into Utility Pole, Police Say

The following arrest report was provided by the Harrison Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

After sustaining injuries during an early morning car accident in Purchase, a Port Chester man has been charged with driving while intoxicated.

Christian Londono, 22, crashed into and broke a utility pole near 1515 Purchase Street at about 4 a.m. on Dec. 11, police say. Londono was unconscious and still behind the wheel when police arrived at the scene moments later. 

According to police, Londono admitted at the scene that he had been drinking before the accident. Police charged Londono with driving while intoxicated before he was transported to Westchester Medical Center to treat injuries sustained during the accident.

At the hospital Londono agreed to a chemical blood-alcohol test, results are pending.

Londono, of 11 Hillcrest Ave., was processed and released to the care of Westchester Medical Center.
