Accident Closes North St. Near Osborn Rd. [VIDEO]

A single car crashed into a utility pole at about 10:50 a.m.

A gray BMW crashed into a utility pole on North Street Thursday morning, creating traffic delays in the area.

The vehicle was headed southbound at about 10:50 a.m. when it swerved over the yellow line and hit the pole on the opposite side of the road near 545 North Street, authorities said. The impact of the crash splintered the poll at the bottom, breaking it.

The broken pole was braced against power lines in the area and, luckily, did not fall onto the road. The driver sustained only minor injuries.
