A Brick man who police previously said to six burglaries in the Greenbriar II adult community was arrested again last week on burglary charges.
According to Brick Police Capt. John Rein, Michael E. Rose, 24, of Dartmoor Road, was arrested by Detective Thomas Cooney last Thursday, Nov. 10, and charged with one count each of burglary and theft. He is currently being lodged in the Ocean County Jail on $50,000 bail, according to jail records.
Rein said more charges are pending again Rose, who police say admitted to six burglaries when he was interviewed by Cooney and Detective Jason Matthews at the Monmouth County Jail on Oct. 12, where he was being held on a contempt of court warrant out of Neptune City.
Rose was first suspected in the burglaries after an alert resident saw a man – later determined to be Rose – running through a backyard in the adult community. The resident alerted security officers, who called police. The security officer recognized the man as Rose, police said at the time. Brick police initially arrested Rose that night on the Monmouth County charge.
Two days after admitting the Greenbriar II burglaries to police, Rose was on two counts of third-degree burglary for allegedly breaking into two cars on July 26.
