Police Hand Out 4 Marijuana Citations

The following arrest information was provided by the Harrison Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

Harrison Police cited four people for marijuana possession including one incident where they say a vehicle was originally pulled over for driving too slow.

Police say they pulled over a vehicle on March 21 after noticing it was traveling slower than 10 mph on Anderson Hill Road. When the vehicle turned onto the Interstate-287 entrance ramp moving at the same speed it was pulled over, police say.

During the stop police smelled marijuana and found a marijuana cigarette on the floor. The 38-year-old White Plains man and 39-year-old Peekskill man in the vehicle were taken into custody. Police say the White Plains man admitted the marijuana was his and he was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana.

A 20-year-old Harrison man was also cited on March 22 after a traffic stop on Sunnyhill Drive. Police say they smelled marijuana in the vehicle and found a marijuana cigarette on the floor. The driver was cited and released without bail.

A 24-year-old White Plains man was cited on March 20 after he was pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt on Halstead Avenue. Police say they smelled marijuana in the vehicle and the driver admitted to having a small bag under his seat. The driver was cited and released.

A 30-year-old Harrison man was also charged on March 18 after police say they found a glass pipe and two small plastic bags containing marijuana during a traffic stop on West Street. The driver was cited and released.
