3 Suspects Charged After String of CVS Larcenies

Police say three men stole items from CVS locations in Rye, Harrison and Mamaroneck before they were caught in the act and arrested Wednesday afternoon.

Police have arrested three men they believe stole items from CVS locations in Rye, Harrison and Mamaroneck Wednesday afternoon.

The arrests were made in Mamaroneck—the third and final alleged stop—just after 2 p.m. Harrison Police had put out a radio hotline throughout Westchester County after a larceny was reported at CVS few minutes earlier. Witnesses there told police three males left the store on Halstead Ave. in a Chrysler 300.

Harrison Police Chief Anthony Marraccini said Mamaroneck Police were checking the CVS on Boston Post Road when they spotted a vehicle matching the description parked outside.

Police waited for a male to exit the store and made the arrest as one of the suspects was walking toward the Chrysler, which was rented from Brooklyn, Marraccini said. Police say they found items stolen from the Mamaroneck and Harrison stores during the initial investigation.

Kaliek Brown, 29, of 10 Donner Drive, Walden, NY; Harvey Russel, 49, of 4108 Vernon Blvd., Queens and Warren Davis, 50, of 4106, Vernon Blvd., Queens, were arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property and petty larceny, both misdemeanors.

Davis was also charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance after a crack pipe was found in his possession, Marraccini said.

Marraccini said the trio was targeting "small items that were high in value", including Crest Whitestrips and razorblades.

After hearing the radio hotline, Rye police reported three men matching the description of the suspects also stole from a CVS in their jurisdiction just before the Harrison larceny.

Marraccini said additional charges from Rye and Mamaroneck are likely when those departments complete their investigations.
