On May 15th 2013 the polls will open from 7:00AM – 8:00PM to vote for school board members and to vote for a Budget. Since the School board did not see fit to let the general public know where or when the Budget Committee so that the town in general could have input on this budget we should vote no. Every surrounding town has advertised prominently to let its residents know every step of the budget process. The president of our board Deinnis DiLorenzo stated that the budget committee is open to all residents. How can this be possible when there is no communication of when or where these meetings take place. Since the school board wants to keep this private we should vote its budget down until everyone has the right to attend meetings and have an I Remember on May 15 let your voice be heard. This budget is two times the town budget. This is the bulk of your taxes. You have an opportunity to stop this reckless spending of our school board., May 15th vote NO
