Police Arrest Bank Manager for Money Theft

A Chase Bank manager at a Tarrytown branch is accused of stealing over $1,000 from a client's wallet. The client said she left her wallet on a couch at the bank and was notified by a bank employee that they had recovered the wallet. When the woman went to pick up the wallet the following day, she discovered the cash was gone. Police reviewed surveillance tapes and apparently saw the manager taking the money. 

Driver Arrested After Medical Emergency

A White Plains woman apparently suffering a medical-related emergency caused by diabetes was arrested after rear-ending a car while approaching a stop sign. The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment and was discovered to be driving with a suspended license. 

Two Men Accused of Staging Dog Fights for Sport

Two Rockland County men are accused by the Rockland County District Attorney of staging dog fights in a New Hempstead home between January and April. Nine Pit Bull terriers were recovered during a raid of the home, all in varying degrees of health and between the ages of 7 months to 3 years old. 

Man Who Ran from Ossining Car Accident Found in Ravine

A man who apparently ran away from the scene of a car accident in Ossining was found in a ravine after a highly decorated former NYC police detective heard the man shouting for help at one in the morning. 

A 13-year-old Peekskill boy is accused of injuring a police officer who was trying to break up a fight between the boy and another middle schooler. The officer was removed from duty after being treated at the hospital for an injured shoulder. 

Injured Hiker Rescued from Trail Along Hudson River

Piermont volunteer firefighters assisted in the rescue of an injured hiker located on a trail near the Hudson River in New Jersey. The hiker, from Hawthorne, NJ, was in a remote location and apparently had injured his ankle. Piermont firefighters arrived via boat and at first had trouble locating the hiker, who was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

Cops Probe Hit-and-Run Near Croton Falls

State troopers are gathering information on a hit and run near the Croton Falls Train Station. A pedestrian was seriously injured in the accident at the intersection of Bridge Street and Route 22 in North Salem.
