Question: How Often Do You Visit the Library?

Today's question of the day asks readers how important the Harrison Library System is to them.

An ambitious group of Harrison residents have a where they plan to jump-start fundraising efforts to improve the Harrison Library.

The (HPLF) cites the importance of the local libraries and the possible advantages of remodeling the library downtown.

At Harrison's most recent Town Board meeting, a representative from the HPLF noted that overall use of the library has increased in recent years, and that the library can now be used for numerous community activities and other events besides simply checking out books.

The library even recently announced that residents can download certain books onto Nooks that can be rented at the library.

We have a great little gallery for artwork. Each month an artist has the opportunity to exhibit. Every May, the library and Harrison Council for the Arts have 3 judges choose the work for the following year. I love the library and all for expansion, and updating it!
