Helicopter Crashes at Kitchawan Farm in Yorktown

FAA officials confirmed an investigation into the helicopter crash at Kitchawan Farm in Yorktown would take up to a year. One pilot and a passenger were in the helicopter when it crashed and EMS confirmed to Patch that they refused medical treatment and walked away from the aircraft. 

Mt. Kisco Man Charged With Disorderly Conduct in Katonah

Bedford police arrested an intoxicated Mount Kisco man after he refused to leave Willy Nick's restaurant in Katonah. Police attempted to get the man into a cab but he refused and began shouting profanities. Apparently, the man had been asked to stay away from the restaurant in the past.

Baby Formula Stolen from A & P in Bronxville

A man was reportedly seen stealing four cans of baby formula from a Bronxville A&P. 

Gang Challenge Leads to Alleged Assault

Three Children's Village students in Dobbs Ferry were arrested and charged as minors after allegedly beating a fourth student. The alleged victim claims that two of the accused attackers were talking about the Crips gang when one dared the other to hit the alleged victim in the face. After attempting to defend himself, the alleged victim said a third student then punched him on his side and in the chest. 

Police: Greenwich Man Blocking Sidewalk in Port Chester

Port Chester police reported the arrest of a 42-year-old Greenwich, CT, man who was laying on the sidewalk and blocking the path of pedestrians. 

An e-mail reporting two break-ins and rapes in Southeast that set off alarm among the pool of recipients was found to be erroneous, according to police. Officials were able to contact the New Fairfield, CT woman who sent out the e-mail and determined she believed the contents of the e-mail, which she had heard fourth- and fifth-hand from friends. Police determined no criminal activity was involved. 

An Abercrombie and Fitch employee is accused of stealing approximately $1,900 from the Palisades Center mall location, according to police. The 19-year-old male reportedly made false merchandise returns and pocketed the cash. 

Cyclist Says Rt. 9W Driver Hit Him Intentionally

A cyclist claims he was intentionally struck by a motorist. The man, 41-years-old and from Upper Nyack, suffered a bruised hip, road rash, and his helmet was cracked. The incident is under investigation.
