Lidia Filippi Surace of West Harrison, NY passed away at home with her family on May 14, 2013.
Lidia was born in Padua, Italy to Laura & Virginio Filippi. She was married in Italy in 1945 to the late John Surace.
She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Guarno & husband Nick of White Plains, NY and Jeanette DeRasmo & husband Leonard of Bradenton, FL. Lidia was loving sister to Elda, Mario, Delfio & Firenze all of Italy. She was grandmother to Cynthia Aversa & husband Joseph, the late Jonathan Fink, Stephanie Giampia & fiance Mauricio, Dana Vargas & husband Rob.
She will be especially missed by her seven beautiful great grandchildren whom she enjoyed having around so much...Christopher, Justin & Nicholas Bendjak, Joseph & Jonathan Aversa, Alexis Ader & Kayla Vargas. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. May 16 and 17 at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Services are at 10 a.m. May 18 at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, West Harrison.
