"Chippy" Cipriano: Volunteer Firefighter

Frank J. Cipriano, 91, of West Harrison died peacefully on May 16, 2013.

He was born on May 17, 1921 in Olyphant, PA, the son of Joseph and Mary (Casarella) Cipriano. He proudly volunteered from 1942-1948 in the US Navy during WWII.

He was a member of the West Harrison Volunteer Fire Department and Silver Lake Mutual Club. He is a retired postal worker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Catherine (Tassani) Cipriano. He is predeceased by his son Frank R. Cipriano and survived by his daughter Patricia Cipriano. He is survived by his brother Joseph (Eleanor) Cipriano and his brother-in-law Tom Troiano. He is predeceased by his siblings Anthony (Ida) Cipriano, Nick (Rose) Cipriano, Ana Troiano and Rose (Anthony) Trapasso.

Visitation is 4-9 p.m. May 19 at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. May 20 at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 85 Harrison St., West Harrison.
