Parsons Students Raise Money For Operation Warm

The students of the Green Key Service Club at Parsons Elementary worked hard to organize a bake sale to help raise money for Operation Warm.  As the temperatures continue to plummet during the winter season, Operation Warm, a national initiative, is committed to providing brand new warm winter coats to children in need.  To date, this charitable organization has supplied over 1.2 million brand new coats to children in 41 states.

The students generated the idea of contributing to this charity after reading a nonfiction news article in class about a young runner who is participating in long distance events to raise money and awareness for Operation Warm.  So far, the students of Parsons have donated over $200.00 to this worthwhile cause.
