LMK Students And Faculty Host Holiday Senior Citizens Dinner

The LMK sixth, seventh, and eighth grade Student Councils hosted the 19th annual Senior Citizens Dinner on December 9th.   Seventy-five senior citizens from the area were in attendance of the event that was organized by LMK faculty members Steve Goodstein, Kristin Killeen, and Dana Morello.

“This event is a wonderful tradition that provides a unique learning experience for our students and goodwill for our community,” said Goodstein.

In addition to the delicious food and great conversation, the seniors from Harrison were treated that evening to performances from the LMK Glee Club under the direction of chorus teacher Cris Spinner, the LMK Strings Club led by teachers Alanna Mackey and Charlie Bennett, and student readings, under the direction of Carolyn Pasquantonio, from the classic holiday tale A Christmas Carol .

“The cafeteria looked festive and the seniors and students enjoyed a splendid time together,” said Sara Bove, 8th Grade Class President.  “The dinner was a complete success and the seniors have said they can’t wait to come again next year.”
