HHS Sophomore Philip Milana to Perform at the BCS Discover Orange Bowl

Harrison High School sophomore Philip Milana has been selected to perform in the 2014 Discover Orange Bowl as a member of the All Star Invitational Marching Band.  Playing the tenor saxophone, Philip will be united with the country’s most talented high school performers in two performances at one of the most storied events in college football.

Philip will have the honor of working with renowned marching band directors led by Dr. Ken Dye, Director of Band for the University of Notre Dame.  Thousand of high school musicians were nominated and selected from all 50 states.  Acceptance to the elite group is a direct result of the talent, dedication, and achievements demonstrated in Philip’s application and audition videos.  Philip was nominated by HHS Marching Band Directors Charlie Briem and Dr. Fred Pasqua, who recently retired, and was accepted after a review by the Selection Review Board.

Philip will be marching in front of 75,000 passionate fans on January 3, 2014 under the lights at the Orange Bowl in South Florida in his Harrison High School Marching Band uniform.
