HHS Band Hosts First Annual Sirius Winter Music Festival

The Harrison High School Band will be hosting the first annual “Sirius Winter Music Festival” on Friday, January 31st from 6pm-10pm in the Harrison Performing Arts Center.  This new concert is a reimagining and merging of a tradition known as Band-A-Thon with the Small Ensemble Concert and will feature individual performances, small ensembles, IB music recitals and presentations, and special interest student gigs.

The concert will open with student led contemporary groups featuring compilations in Rock, Shed and Grunge music.  The concert will then transition into the Sirius Chamber Cohort featuring chamber music performed by winds, brass, and percussion musicians.

The midpoint section of the evening will involve rhythmic riffs and Drumline pieces performed by the Percussion Ensemble.  The HHS Majorettes will have an opportunity to perform their routines and the evening will conclude with the Sirius Jazz Workshop.
