HCSD Welcomes New HHS Principal Dr. Steven Siciliano

The Harrison Central School District welcomes Dr. Steven Siciliano as the New Principal of Harrison High School.  Dr. Siciliano joins the leadership team of the Harrison Central School District as the new Principal of Harrison High School, effective July 1, 2013.  Parents were able to meet Dr. Siciliano last Wednesday, September 17th at the Harrison High School Open House night.

Dr. Siciliano’s leadership experience includes most recently serving as the Principal of Sagamore Middle School in the Sachem Central School District for the past nine years. As the leader of Sagamore Middle School, a school serving 867 students, Dr. Siciliano has led several comprehensive initiatives to improve instructional programs and increase student achievement.

Under Dr. Siciliano’s leadership, Sagamore Middle School was recognized in 2010 by the New York State Education Department as a High Performing/Gap Closing school.

Prior to his tenure as a principal in the Sachem Central School District, Dr. Siciliano served for two years as an assistant principal at the middle and high school level in Sachem. Dr. Siciliano also taught social studies at the high school level in New York City and at Hicksville High School on Long Island. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from SUNY Empire State College and a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from Dowling College. Dr. Siciliano also holds an Advanced Certificate in Educational Administration and a Doctorate in Educational Administration, Leadership and Technology from Dowling College.
