HCSD Students and Faculty Perform at PiPE DREAM Theatre in NYC

Harrison students and faculty are making a name for themselves on premiere stages in New York City. Parsons Elementary School fourth grade teacher Stephanie Goldman is the Production Stage Manager for PiPE DREAM theatre’s production of Columbia: The Life and Death of Rospo D. Oro at Theatre Row on 42nd Street.  Columbia is a heart-warming musical inspired by Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows and will run through January 25th.

Ms. Goldman is joined in the production by Louis M. Klein Middle School eighth grader Megan Margiotti who is playing the role of PAN, a child-like god who is the guardian of The Wild Woods. This is Megan’s third year performing Off-Broadway with PiPE DREAM theatre.  In 2011, she appeared as “Tiny Tim” in 3 Ghosts and last year played “Dot” in The Nutcracker and the Mouse King.

Ms. Goldman has been a part of the PiPe DREAM team from the beginning performing tasks ranging from Stage Manager, sewing, building, painting, creating props, programming, and running lights and sounds.

She is joined for this production by Harrison High School senior Noah Platte who will be working with the PiPE DREAM theatre for the first time.  Noah, when he is not performing with the award winning Harrison High School band, also works as an essential member of the Tech crew for the Harrison Performing Arts Center at HHS.
