Senior Victoria Feeney knows firsthand how much practice goes into the routines the Radio City Rockettes endure for their Christmas Show spectacular and holiday appearances, she spent her summer training with them.
Tori auditioned with thousands of other hopefuls for a position in the Radio City Music Hall Rockette Summer Intensive. This unique experience allows the country’s young dancers the opportunity to train for more than six hours a day with current Rockettes and Radio City choreographers and directors.
“Being accepted into the Rockette Summer Intensive was truly an honor,” Tori said. “Students come to RSI with an advanced knowledge of tap, jazz and ballet but are developing the skills necessary to perform with a dance team that is world-renowned in precision dance performance.”

As the Radio City Rockettes prepare for both this week’s annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and the annual Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Tori has a new appreciation for the hard work and dedication these dancers have for their craft. Might we see her on 34th Street someday?
“I’ve learned so much from training with three Rockettes, not only about dance, but about the commitment and lifestyle a Rockette endures,” she said. “Overall, RSI was a great experience and I can’t wait to go back again next summer!”
