Winter Camp Offers Kids a Break Full of Fun

Students on winter break have been enjoying a week of winter camp at Harrison's Sollazzo Center downtown.

From kickball and basketball to finally getting to see how slime is made, more than two-dozen Harrison elementary school students have been making the most of their mid-winter break by spending it with the Harrison Recreation Department.

The department's annual camp offers events and activities like arts and crafts and sports, along with entertainment including a magician, scientist and even a visit from a few animals.

Camp runs during the week-long break from school at the Sollazzo Center, giving kids in grades one through four a place to keep busy during their down time.
