Photos: Blue Mass Honors Public Servants

The fifth annual Blue Mass was held at St. Anthony's Church in West Harrison Saturday afternoon.

About 200 people gathered at in West Harrison Saturday to say thank you to the first responders and political representatives for their work in the community.

The fifth annual Blue Mass included prayers for all public servants and concluded with a blessing of Harrison's emergency vehicles in front of the church.

"You help the waters of our community run smoothly and properly," said Rev. Christopher Monturo during the mass.

About 60 firefighters, police officers EMS staff and local political leaders sat in the front rows and were honored during the Mass and ceremony.
