Harrison Dog Park Grand Re-Opening May 5

A ceremony will be held on May 5 for the first anniversary of the official opening of the Harrison Dog Park on Crystal Street.

The Town of Harrison will show off its re-vamped dog park on Crystal Street during a ceremony on May 5.

After it's official opening last summer, the Harrison Dog Park has undergone some improvements over the last few months thanks to a significant donation from the Joseph Acocella Jr. Memorial Fund, announced Harrison Town Clerk Jackie Greer.

Acocella, who served as town clerk until his death last summer, played a lead role in to Harrison, to bring the project to fruition two years ago.

The park opened two years ago, but the official ceremony for the park wasn't held until last summer.

The public is welcomed to attend the event on May 5 to see the new additions to the park. Permits are open to Harrison residents and members of  and are available at the town clerk's office at .
