Men's Celebrity Golf Outing to Benefit Breast Cancer Alliance

On Monday, September 10th, the Breast Cancer Alliance will host the Men’s Celebrity Golf Tournament at Brae Burn Country Club, a private club in Purchase, NYThe tournament is co-hosted by Greenwich resident, Bill Evans (WABC) and Purchase resident, Scott Shannon (WPLJ.)

Bill Evans is a 12-time Emmy Award winner, New York Times Best Selling Author, and Senior Meteorologist for Channel 7 Eyewitness News and is the popular weather anchor for Eyewitness News This Morning and at Noon.  Bill also forecasts the weather on WPLJ-FM Radio, on WGCH Business Talk Radio in Greenwich, CT, ABC Radio Network and ESPN Radio. He often fills in for Sam Champion on ABC News' Good Morning America, and has appeared on LIVE! with Regis and Kelly, ESPN Sports Center, the Discovery Channel's How Stuff Works and Martha Stewart Radio.

Scott Shannon has co-hosted the wildly successful “Scott & Todd in the Morning Show” with his partner Todd Pettengill on 95.5 WPLJ since 1991.  Besides being the Program Director at WPLJ, he also hosts “The True Oldies Channel”, a nationally syndicated radio network, heard from coast to coast in the U.S.  Scott created the incredibly successful format known as the "Morning Zoo". Today WPLJ reigns as the most listened-to Adult Contemporary Station in America, and "Scott & Todd in the Morning" enjoys one of the biggest audiences in the USA.

Registration begins at 11:00AM with a shotgun start at 12:00PM.  Lunch will be on the course and a cocktail hour will follow at 4:00PM underwritten by Horseneck Wines and Liquors.  All proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Alliance. 

Breast Cancer Alliance is dedicated exclusively to funding innovative breast cancer research and promoting breast health through breast surgery fellowships, education and outreach programs.  Breast Cancer Alliance has awarded $16 million dollars since its inception in 1996.
