The Lustgarten Foundation's fifth annual Westchester Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk

On Sunday, April 27, local residents will join together for The Lustgarten Foundation’s fifth annual Westchester Pancreatic Cancer
Research Walk,
which will
be held at Rye Town Park/Oakland Beach, Westchester. Walkers can
participate in a one- or three-mile walk along the Long Island Sound, through Playland Amusement Park.

Registration Begins:
8:00 AM, Walk Begins: 9:30 AM
Pre-Registration fee: $50, Walk-In Registration Fee $60

Since its inception, the Westchester Walk has grown to nearly
1,000 participants, and raised nearly one million dollars for promising
research. In addition to uniting thousands in the spirit of hope, 100% of the money raised, due to
Cablevision’s support, goes to advancing research
aimed at early detection,
better treatments, and ultimately, a cure for pancreatic cancer, the most
lethal cancer there is.

The Lustgarten Foundation is America’s largest private foundation
dedicated to funding pancreatic cancer research. Based in Bethpage, New York,

the Foundation supports research to find a cure for pancreatic cancer, facilitates dialogue within the medical and scientific community, and educates
the public about the disease through awareness campaigns and fundraising

events. The Foundation has provided millions of research dollars and assembled
the best scientific minds with the hope that one day, a cure can be found.

telecommunications company, underwrites The Lustgarten Foundation’s
administrative costs, so 100 percent of every dollar donated to the Foundation
goes directly to pancreatic cancer research. The Lustgarten Foundation and
Cablevision are also partners in the curePC public awareness campaign in
support of the fight against pancreatic cancer.
