CHURCH CHOIRS LIFT UP THEIR VOICES FOR CHARITY
Westchester Food Pantries to Benefit from UU Choir Festival on March 29
The choirs of the Community Unitarian Church (CUC) at White Plains and Unitarian Universalist congregations in Hastings-on-Hudson, Mt. Kisco, and Croton-on-Hudson will make a powerful musical statement more than 60 voices strong this spring, in a choral festival benefiting local food pantries.
The CUC Choir, under the direction of soprano Lisa Meyer, will host the festival on Saturday, March 29, at 7 p.m. Joining them in a program of folk songs, spirituals, world music and cherished anthems are the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Choir of Northern Westchester in Mt. Kisco; the Fellowship Choir of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Briarcliff, Croton and Ossining; and the First Unitarian Society of Westchester Coffee Hour Choir in Hastings-on-Hudson.
All are welcome to attend the festival. Admission is a suggested donation of $20 ($10 for seniors and students). CUC is located at 468 Rosedale Ave., in White Plains.
