Getting Public To Believe Hurricane Forecasts from Authorities/Forecasters Will Be Focus of Talk By Purchase College Professor
How to get the public
to take hurricane warnings issued by authorities and weather forecasters seriously,
and to realize global climate change will impact the way we look at hurricane threats in the future will be the focus of a lecture at Purchase College on September 17 by Joel Tenenbaum, research professor of meteorology and
scientific computing at Purchase.
The talk entitled “Wolf, Wolf? Hurricane Sandy, Weather Forecasting and Global Climate Change” is free and open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. in Room 1001 in Purchase College’s Natural Sciences Building, 735 Anderson Hill Road, Purchase, NY.
