The Westchester County Genealogical Society will be welcoming Roni Liebowitz with a talk Researching Your Jewish Roots on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10am.


The meeting will take place at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 600 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, New York which is across from Mercy College on route 9.


 A board member of Jewish Records Indexing-Poland, Roni Liebowitz is the Archive Coordinator of Lodz and the Town Leader of Belchatow. As consultant and participant in a documentary about a World War Two liberator and survivors, she traveled in the United States, Poland and Israel to interview subjects. Mrs. Liebowitz is a retired speech and language pathologist.


 The presentation will provide information and helpful hints on researching your Jewish Family Genealogy. The presentation will review repositories in the New York area that contain holdings of interest to Jewish Genealogists as well as demonstrate the use of Jewish internet based websites and databases. 


WCGS regularly presents speakers on genealogical topics at its monthly meeting on the 2nd Saturday each month. WCGS welcomes all interested in searching their family roots.


Guests are warmly welcome. Genealogical networking starts at 9:30am.
