This week we chose Harrison spelling bee champion Sinead Rynne.

Whiz Kids' Accomplishments: Sinead will represent Harrison in the New York State Spanish Spelling Bee on June 3, 2011 after finishing first out of 24 other Preston Elementary School third, fourth and fifth graders in a local preliminary spelling bee.

About 30 students attended the spelling bee to encourage their classmates and even jump in sometimes if a world was misspelled.

Key to Awesomeness: Sinead remained calm under pressure, correctly spelling her words throughout several elimination rounds on the way to her first place finish. We wish Sinead the best of luck in the next round of the competition.
