West Harrison Library Summer Reading Kick-off Is A Party

West Harrison Library kicked off its summer reading program for children with visits from elected officials, families, and a host of bugs, amphibians, and animals.

Assemblyman David Buchwald, 93rd District joined the fun, along with Mayor Belmont, and State Senator Latimer. All were good sports during the chicken dance. In fact, Buchwald told Patch that he is the grandson of a chicken farmer from Ulster County.

And kids are reminded by Harrison Library staff Galina Chernykh and Liz Karkoff to stop by the library, check out a book and start reading!

Watch Patch for a full photo gallery later this week.
