1. 'Life of a Solider' Talk Sheds Light on Revolutionary War

From 4 - 5 p.m. this afternoon, the will about George Washington's Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Thomas Paine Cottage Museum Director John R. Wright will give this lecture dressed in costume inspired by Revolutionary troops.

2. Community Blood Drive Draws 27 Donors

Tuesday's blood drive at the brought in 27 blood donors, one-third of whom have Type O blood. Organizer Ada Angarano said that the donations will help 80 people in need of blood. To read more about the drive, .

3. Woman on Verge of Diabetic Coma Saved by Senior Check Program

A Harrison senior was visited by the 's Senior Check Program just in the nick of time last week. A police office found a woman on the verge of a diabetic coma, police say, possibly saving her life. To read more, check out .

4. Varsity Track Meet Today at Harrison High School

Harrison High School will be hosting the fourth annual Fulton Track and Field Invitational today at 4:15 p.m. The Harrison, Somers, Bronxville, New Rochelle, Somers and Scarsdale track teams are expected to compete.

5. A Year Ago on Harrison Patch...Community Blood Drive A Huge Success

On April 14, 2010, Harrison Patch reported on  once again organized by Chamber of Commerce President Ada Angarano. The drive drew in 38 donors, many of whom had rare types that were sought by the American Red Cross.
