Wake Up With Patch: St. Gregory's Musical, Council for the Arts Launches Youth Arts Month
A look at five things to know this weekend, Friday, March 4 to Sunday, March 6, 2011.
1. Armed Robbery On Purdy Street
On Thursday, Harrison Patch followed an armed robbery that took place on Purdy Street. Police said a woman, whose identity hasn't been revealed, was robbed of jewelry and cash at gunpoint. Two men were seen fleeing from the scene of the crime.

Kids from the area will be this weekend at St. Gregory's Parish (94 Broadway, Harrison.)
Performances of "Broadway Kids" will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 and all proceeds will go to St. Gregory's religious education programs.

On Sunday at 1 p.m., the Harrison Council for the Arts will launch . At 1:30 there will be a student performance at the Harrison Public Library. Multimedia art will be on display through April 4 at the library and the municipal building (1 Heineman Pl., Harrison.)
4. Dark Skies AheadWhile Friday is supposed to be cloudy with high temperatures around 35 degrees, the National Weather Service predicts rain on Saturday and Sunday, with high temperatures around 50 degrees.
On Mar. 4, 2010, Harrison Patch ran an article about possible federal funds coming to Harrison to help with the damages suffered during a storm that took down trees and wires the week prior.
