Wake Up with Patch: Recreation Basketball, United Way Offers Grad Student Scholarship

A look at five things to know on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.

1. Recreation Basketball Tonight

The two remaining Harrison girls teams in the Westchester County Recreation League Tournament will be in action tonight, for specific times and team names .

2. Storyland and Circle Time for Tots

The Harrison Public Library will hold Storyland, a free story session for kids ages three through five, from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. this morning. From 11:15 - 11:45 a.m. Circle Time for Tots will be held, which is also free and intended for kids ages one through three.

3. St. Vincent's Patient Assaults Hospital Staff Member

According to Harrison Police, a patient at St. Vincent's hospital punched a staff member in the head because he wouldn't let him use the telephone. To read more about this incident, check out this week's .

4. Scholarship Available for Social Work, Public Health Grad Students

The Ruth Taylor Award Fund is a scholarship offered through the United Way for full-time graduate students in the fields of Social Work and Public Health.
