Wake Up with Patch: Cheerleader Fundraiser, Library Seeks Exhibit Artists

A look at five things to know today.

1. Library Seeks Artists to Display Their Work

The and the Harrison Council for the Arts are seeking artists to submit their artwork to a Juried Art Committee. Selected artwork will be featured at library exhibits in 2012.

Submissions should be dropped off on Friday, May 20, starting at 9:30 a.m. and must be picked up the next day. To find out more about eligibility, read .

2. Harrison Cheerleaders Third Annual Benefit

The Harrison High School cheerleaders will celebrate the group's 70th anniversary with their third annual cheerleader benefit on Saturday, May 21, from 7 - 11 p.m.

3. Harrison Players Present 'Springtime Around the World'

The Harrison Players will hold a fundraising dinner/dance called "Springtime Around the World," will be held on Saturday, May 21, from 7 - 11 p.m.

The fundraiser will benefit the Harrison Players community theatre group and American Red Cross disaster relief in Japan. For more information, check out .

4. Executive Women's Golf Association Fun Day

The Westchester chapter of the Executive Women's Golf Association is holding their annual Fun Day at 8 Sunset Ln., in Harrison from 1 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 22. The group is inviting all women to join them for a golf outing. Registration is $25/per person. For more info, check out .
