1. new haven man Caught at trinity restaurant After High-Speed Chase
On Thursday, Harrison Patch ran an article about a New Haven man who told police he was scared to get caught smoking pot in his car, so he led them on a high-speed chase. Police say they caught the man at Trinity Restaurant in Harrison. He's been charged with one felony and multiple misdemeanors. For more on this quirky story, .
2. Bosco's Bridal Show and ExpoIf you or someone you know is getting married this year, there's a bridal expo on Sunday where vendors can help you out with dresses, makeup, tuxedos, catering, and all the other details to make your special day perfect.

Purchase College has some interesting connections to the Oscar Awards, which will air Sunday night. Thanks to Purchase College for the following info:
- The Black Swan, which had many scenes filmed at the Purchase Performing Arts Center, received numerous Oscar nominations including best picture, Natalie Portman for best actress and Darren Aronofsky for best director.
- Former student Melissa Leo was nominated for best supporting actress for her role in The Fighter as a domineering stage mother to two sons in the cuthroat world of boxing. The film stars Christian Bale and Mark Whalberg. Leo won a Golden Globe for her supporting role in The Fighter at this year's award ceremony.
- Michelle Williams received a best actress nomination for her role Blue Valentine, which was co-produced by Purchase Professor Alex Orlovsky.
- Purchase alum William Sarokin is also nominated for sound mixing for the film Salt, starring Angelina Jolie.
On Feb. 25, 2010, Harrison Patch ran a story about the Board of Education meeting where students in the high school's Model Congress Club because of the weather. Superintendent Louis Wool reinstated the trip and students boarded a bus after the board meeting was over.
The students made it there and back safely.
