Stay Dry! Wet Weekend on Tap for Harrison

The National Weather Service is predicting showers and thunderstorms throughout the weekend, starting with the possibility of severe weather Friday afternoon.

The dark clouds parked over the region Friday are expected to become a familiar site by the end of the weekend, as the National Weather Service is expecting a soggy end to the week.

The most severe weather is expected Friday afternoon, according to NWS predictions. A flood advisory is in effect until 1:30 p.m., as heavy rain—up to one and a half inches—could cause problems in flood-prone neighborhoods.

There is an 80 percent chance of more rain Friday evening, with thunderstorms expected. The rain will likley be back on Saturday, with storms expected throughout the day. Clouds will remain over the area on into Saturday night with a 50 percent chance of rain, the NWS predicts.
