Renewed Interest Brings Back Spring Camp

The Harrison Recreation Department is offering a four-day program for students on spring break.

A camp for Harrison students enjoying their spring break returned for the first time in a few years this week, offering grade school kids an opportunity to participate in fun and educational programs during their week off from school.

Harrison Recreation Department director Gerry Salvo said about 40 students signed up for the camp this week. The department hadn't offered a camp during spring break in recent years, but brought it back after a successful winter break camp in February.

The week started with a visit from Dinosaurs Rock, a program offering students a brief class about dinosaurs and science. The Mad Science program will return later this week along with two art classes and a pizza party.
