Rain, Some Snow Forecast for Harrison this Weekend

That old wintry mix would come Friday and Saturday night.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting rain, sleet and possibly some snow starting Saturday afternoon.

Forecast predictions are murky as to the type of precipitation coming to specific areas, but amounts are expected to be heavy across the Hudson Valley.

Saturday: Rain and snow likely before 9 a.m., then rain. High near 40. Southeast wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Saturday Night: Rain. Low around 34. East wind 9 to 13 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday: A chance of rain, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Northwest wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
