Morning 5: Occupy Rally Forum in Purchase, BOE Update

A look at five things to know while you start your Thursday.

1. What Happened at the Board of Education Meeting Last Night?

  • The Board of Education thanked the Harrison Police Department for their hands on work in planning the Rye-Harrison game at Harrison High School last weekend. The district estimates that 5,000 people attended the game.
  • The recent college fair at Harrison High School drew compliments from colleges throughout the region and was one of the largest ones over.
  • The Harrison Education Foundation is taking a look at updating the High School Cafeteria, we'll have more on this later.

2. Occupy Wall Street Forum at Purchase Tonight

SUNY Purchase will host a forum tonight at 7 p.m. to discuss the current Occupy Wall Street movement. Purchase faculty will help run the event, which will be held at the Red Room Theater in the school's student services building.
