Summer is here, so this week's Moms Talk asks parents their favorite place to bring the kids for a fun day trip in Westchester.

For families looking for excitement, there's always Playland; and for families into art, a trip to the Neuberger Museum at Purchase College is right down the block for many Harrison families.

In Northern Westchester, the landscape is a bit more rural and just a short drive away. Places like the Stone Barns Center in Pocantico Hills and Hilltop Hanover Farm in Yorktown Heights offer farm tours, classes and pick-your-own fruits and veggies events throughout the summer.

And if you want to relax by the beach, Rye Town Park and Glen Island Park in New Rochelle offer swimming on the Sound Shore.
