Harrison Poll: How Far Will The Softball Team Go This Year?

This week's Harrison poll asks our readers how far they think the varsity softball team will make it in their 2010 season.

The Harrison varsity softball team is off to a fantastic start to their 2010 season. Led by a group of talented and experienced senior players, including fifth year starters Gigi LoDolce and Ashley Marino, head coach Dean Marino's team is eyeing a state championship this year.

With the difficult Section One tournament coming up in a few weeks, how far do you think the Huskies will make it this year? The team brought back almost all of its starters after a great season last year, do you think this will be the year the Huskies advance into the state tournament?

We had a lot of different opinions about the school vote in last week's poll but, from what the voters have said, Harrison looks like it is on board with what the Harrison Board of Education has done with the budget.

Here are the results after we asked if you support the 2010 - 2011 budget:

They got it perfect, I wouldn't change a thing - 38 percent.

I'll vote in support, but they could have cut a little more - 19 percent.

Absolutely not! If they raise taxes around here any more I have moving! - 19 percent.

I would have supported higher taxes, but the cuts were just about right - 13 percent.

They cut too much, there is no reason to eliminate 17 positions - 6 percent.

Thank you to everyone that took the time to participate last week and we look forward to hearing about your thoughts on the girls softball team this week.
