Flood Watch Issued For Thursday and Friday

More rain is expected to fall on the already saturated Hudson Valley Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Two to three inches of rain could fall on the Hudson Valley by Friday morning, leaving southern Westchester County under yet another flood watch.

The rain is expected to begin falling Thursday morning, possibly lingering in the area until Friday afternoon. With grounds already saturated from melted snow and heavy rains earlier this week, major flooding will be a possibility throughout that time, according to the National Weather Service.

Those in areas prone to flooding should take precautions, according to the NWS.

Sunday night's area of major flooding. No roads were closed or damaged within the town's borders. The same could not be said for other Westchester municipalities, especially north of Interstate 287 where several major roads were left completely submerged in water.
