Enjoying Summery Weather While It Lasts
Parents and children enjoyed the sunshine at the playgrounds at Silver Lake. The forecast calls for more seasonable weather this weekend.
Sunshine and warm temperatures—in the high 70s—brought people out to the John A. Passidomo Veterans Park.
"It's a beautiful day," said West Harrison resident Pina Gjokaj, chasing her toddler, Gentian, around the slides. "He loves to be outdoors. This playground is convenient, and it has a swing! He loves swings."
Gjokaj was taking advantage of the sun at midday. The National Weather Service predicts increasingly overcast skies and possible thunderstorms in the evening, and rain on May 11.
