Editor's Notebook: The Week in Review

Harrison Patch launched this week, covering local businesses, government, sports and more.

Harrison Patch launched on Tuesday and this week we did our best to bring you all of the most interesting and pertinent local news.

On Tuesday, we launched with stories covering every aspect of the Harrison community. I introduced myself to you in our welcome video, and my welcome letter introduced you to everything that's on our Web site, including events, listings and announcements.

Our top story was the 12.9 percent tax increase residents are facing, but we also touched on the Police Department's highlight of 2009, the busy fire departments keeping you safe and the Harrison Central School District's Superintendent of the Year. In case you missed Monday's basketball action, we brought you the play-by-play of the Huskies victory over the Rye Garnets.
