Is there a senior citizen in your life who has made a difference in Westchester County? Now is your chance to give them the recognition they deserve.
Westchester County is accepting nominations for the Senior Citizen Hall of Fame. Selected nominees will be inducted at the 29th annual senior hall of fame luncheon on Dec. 2 at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown.
Induction in the hall of fame focuses on three specific areas: human services, humanitarianism and philanthropy. Consideration will also be given to seniors who have provided leadership toward expanding services or programs.
All senior citizens who have not been selected in the past are eligible to be nominated. Nomination forms must be mailed to Carlyn Weinstein, program director of the department of senior programs and services, by September 19.
Applications can be sent to 9 S. First Ave., Mt. Vernon, NY. 10550. For more information, please call (914)-813-6400.
The event is sponsored by the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services, DSPS and Westchester County Parks.
