Another Storm Brings Potential For Flooding

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the southern Hudson Valley today from 10 a.m. until late this evening.

For the second time in four days rain and melting snow are creating the potential for flooding in the Harrison area.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning from 10 a.m. until late tonight. About an inch of rainfall is expected today and the ground is already saturated in some areas from last week's storm, heightening the threat of flooding.

Recent warm weather has also created ice jams in some streams and small waterways. These ice jams can result in flooding upstream, as well as flash flooding downstream if they break suddenly, according to the NWS.
