The band that describes their genre as "in your face southern rock" took the the stage this weekend for a rare Sunday summer concert series performance in Silver Lake.
Without a doubt, the best southern rock band I've heard, Sundown played an amazing debut concert on the Village Green this weekend. Following an afternoon deluge, the sun broke through, and so did the crowd. The thunder for the rest of the evening came only from the band shell.
As people clapped in time, danced, sang and swayed along, Sundown put on a display of musicianship that at times, mesmerized the crowd. The energy and raw emotion this band exudes, can not be put into words.
Of one thing I am sure. A lot of people left this concert new fans of this band.
