Brae Burn Hosts Pediatric Cancer Foundation Boutique Fundraiser

Country club the setting for "Shop For A Cure" event.

The Pediatric Cancer Foundation hosted its annual Shop For A Cure boutique at Brae Burn Country Club.

The fundraiser featured more than 35 vendors selling fine jewelry, home accessories, stationery, custom clothing, children’s gifts and more.

Cheryl Rosen, president of Pediatric Cancer Foundation, applauded boutique chairs Judith Elkins and Wendy Schimel for producing this event.

“Although this boutique takes place on one day it takes an entire year to coordinate every last detail,” Rosen said. “Thank you Judi and Wendy as well as Boutique guests and vendors for helping us to…hold the hand of a child.”

What’s next? The foundation has its annual bowlathon for children of all ages to come together at Lucky Strikes in Manhattan on Sunday, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Check out www.pcfbowlathon.org to register.

Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s mission is to find a cure for childhood cancer. Founded in 1970, the non-profit children’s charity raises money for research, state of the art equipment/instruments and parent/patient care for world renowned doctors at the hospitals PCF supports — including NewYork Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital; Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center; Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York; Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at NYU Langone Medical Center; and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center.
