'Thoroughly Modern Millie' Brings Roaring '20s to HHS

Four performances wowed audiences at the Harrison High School Performing Arts Center this weekend.

The frantic lifestyle of a single woman in the 1920s and her quest for an upper-class marriage sent audiences home happy this weekend, as the Harrison High School Footlight Players presented Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Cayla Pettinato, who has also played roles in the school's productions of Hairspray and High School Musical 2 starred as Millie Dillmount, a young woman on a quest to find the man of her dreams. But those plans fall apart when Millie's advances toward her boss, Trevor Graydon, played by Marwan Bishtawi, fall apart.

In the end, all is not lost however as Millie found love with Jimmy Smith, played by Alejandro Azuaje. Despite several obstacles the two live happily ever after.
