Everybody In The Pool

Pool Passes, Prices And Rules

As summer continues to sizzle, many people are wondering what rules pertain to the public pool. They're all still pretty reasonable, but they've gone a little crazy with the Buddy System requirements. Now you also have to do stuff together on weekends, or risk being called a "phony." Aside from that, hanging at the Harrison pool is still a good bet. Here is everything you need to know about it.

A Pool Pass does not include the cost of a Recreation Card. And until you have both, this means no recreation in the pool either. Meaning anything other than floating carries a massive fine. However, if you're found still floating a day later, the fine will be waived.

You must have a photo ID in order to be admitted to the town pool, as well. This is especially true if you plan to do some synchronized swimming. What else will do for this? The picture featured on the day pass from your mental health facility.

Seniors must pay $25 for their IDs. This is not admission. It's a deductible. Just in case any senior suddenly thinks they're competing in the 1932 Olympics. And tries to win the gold by recreating the famous Triple Lindy.

This $25 price also entitles all seniors to a Lifetime Pass. Translation? Harrison should be able to resell many of these passes several times, between now and the end of the summer. It's just good economic sense.

High School and Youth residents must pay $5 for their IDs. The recession is hitting everybody this summer, so Harrison promises to be lenient regarding the payment of these fees. Meaning, if they catch any teens shaking down younger kids for dough, the authorities will look the other way.

Now, the actual Pool Fees are pretty reasonable: $200 per family. $300 if the family is dysfunctional. And if you choose to 'encounter' one another at the pool, the fines will just pile up, However, if you get your mother to admit she has  control issues, it could be worth it.

Caregivers only have to pay $125 for a pool pass. You can pretty much pull this off by having a compassionate look when you enter the premises. However, you may have to take several people's  blood pressure and give a few foot massages  before you can dive in the pool. Don't get carried away and walk in with a thermometer, however. Especially, if you don't know what kind it is. Then, you're just a lawsuit waiting to happen...

Guest passes are $20 a day for adults or children over 48" and $5 for anyone under 48". If you're trying to cut corners, remember, that shoes-on-the-knees trick only works with long pants. Sandals have to be stapled there, you know. In which case you'll be begging for help from the caregiver. And, since he's just as big a scammer as you, the day is going to end really badly.
