Harrison Council for the Arts Presents Oil and Watercolor Paintings by Elana Mark at the Harrison Public Library

Harrison Council for the Arts presents oil and watercolor paintings by Elana Mark at the Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Avenue, September 9 to October 5 with an opening reception September 15 from 2:00 to 4:00pm.

Elana has been teaching art for over thirty years, and drawing and painting since childhood.  From 1994 to 2004 she was as an instructor of drawing and painting at the High School for the Arts in Jerusalem, Israel.  In addition, Elana has taught adult classes for many years at the Chautauqua Institution as well as private classes and workshops.  In these places she paints the scenery and the details of nature that she loves.  She finds great satisfaction in transferring her love of painting to her many students and in helping them to discover that drawing really is for everyone.   Elana holds a BFA in studio art from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree in studio art and art education from the College of New Rochelle.

The exhibit may be viewed Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30am to 9pm; Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays 9:30am to 5:30pm., and Sundays 1:00 to 5:00pm.  For info call 914/835-0324 www.harrisonpl.org.
