Artist Statement:  With a passionate belief in the power of art to transform our state of mind, and an innate sensitivity to the landscape of human feeling, my paintings reach out and envelop the viewer in a color-saturated world.  The desire to communicate with the viewer finds a voice through the immediacy of lively brushwork, curving lines and direct interaction with the subject matter. Both landscape and abstract reveal a desire to touch the soul. Often used as mirror images, the pairing of an abstract work with a landscape creates a dialogue between images, and creating a space between the literal and the imagined worlds for the viewer to inhabit.
